COOP

In a rapidly evolving threat environment where new risks, codes, standards, and best practices are set regularly, the CMCG team stays up-to-date to provide premier emergency management, business continuity, and continuity of operations support to our clients. Members of our team are fully knowledgeable and remain current on all applicable guidance and directives, including:

  • Executive Orders (EOs),
  • Presidential Decision Directives (PDDs),
  • Federal Preparedness Circulars (FPCs),
  • Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs),
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, and
  • The National Incident Management System (NIMS).

We monitor the changing regulatory environment to stay current with the latest guidance.

Our consultants have supported the Continuity of Operations planning cycle for government agencies, including identifying Primary Mission Essential Functions (PMEFs) and viable alternate operating facilities to continue to their performance during a wide range of emergencies, including localized acts of nature, accidents and technological or attack-related emergencies. We support the prioritization of critical essential functions; identify human capital requirements; define criteria for alternate facility space; as well as establish an overall concept of operations and COOP response structure that enable government agencies continue their mission under all-hazards events, including a pandemic.

CMCG’s team has also established a comprehensive training and exercise program designed to enhance the resiliency of COOP personnel responsible for plan implementation. We conducted annual training including instructor-led training as well as self-paced computer based training modalities. Exercises were designed in compliance with the federal Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) and included the full range of exercises; Tabletops, Functional and Full-scale Exercises.
