CMCG worked with a fast growing provider of telecommunications and data center collocation services to create a corporate-wide Business Continuity Plan from the ground up. As part of the client’s SSAE16 attestation and Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Report, CMCG conducted a Business Impact Analysis to identify critical functions, as well as recovery times and key personnel. Our focus was to establish a baseline to determine the client’s resilience and redundant capabilities. Our expertise in business processes and disaster recovery enabled us to identify for the client recovery strategies to incorporate into their long-term growth plans, including establishing redundant infrastructure.
Our team also conducted an assessment of the technological, natural and man-made risks of the physical location of the client’s operations. Our planning process incorporated the data gathered during the exhaustive assessment to create viable and executable plans. The completed business continuity plan established clear parameters to enable fast decision-making and consequence management as well as resuming operations at pre-designated alternate facilities.
As part of the overall engagement, we had the opportunity to conduct training of the newly created Executive Business Continuity Team, as well as a tabletop exercise to validate established protocols.
